Safe to Learn/Safe to Teach
The Utah Shooting Sports Council presents Safe to Learn/Safe to Teach, a concealed-carry course tailored for Utah educators who plan to carry on campus.

The classroom training is reserved for educators and school staff, and is free of charge. You will be responsible only for the non-refundable concealed firearm permit application fee ($46 for Utah residents, $51 for non-residents). Fingerprinting and all class materials are being provided as a public service by the Utah Shooting Sports Council. There is no need to bring your own firearm. They will be provided for instruction during the class. Please bring a good attitude and a willingness to learn. We appreciate our Utah educators!

Please Note: You must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident and you must be legally permitted to own a firearm to participate in the Safe to Learn/Safe to Teach events. Academic credential (staff/faculty ID) will be requested at the start of class, but your school will NOT be notified of your participation. Members of news media will be present during the classroom training and shooting event; by registering you understand that you may be photographed and these photographs may be released to the media or used to promote the Utah Shooting Sports Council. We will do our best to accommodate those who do not want to be videoed or photographed. We will likely get requests from the media for participants they can contact for follow-up interviews; we will ONLY provide contact information for those participants who check the "I agree" box on the registration form.
